February Ushers 69 New Titles on the Nation’s Stands…

A total of 69 new titles arrived to the nation’s stands for the first time in February 2013. The number reflects an increase of three titles from the month of January. New magazines covered every topic you can imagine under God’s green earth: from watches to health, from fiction to science fiction and everything in between.

January Opens with a Blast: 66 New Titles Debut on the Newsstands…

New magazine launches are showing no signs of slowing down. The first month of the new year ushered a total of 66 new titles to the nation’s newsstands. 15 of the new arrivals came with an intended frequency of at least 4 times a year and 51 were a mix of annuals, specials and book-a-zine. December New Launches Match Those of November: 78 New Titles Arrive at the Newsstands

In a repeat of the month of November, December ushered the launch of 78 titles that arrived on the magazine marketplace for the first time. Of the 78 titles there were 23 published with a regular frequency and the rest were either annuals, specials or book-a-zines.

November Has Been a Busy Month for New Titles… 78 New Magazines Arrive on the Newsstands…

New magazines continue to appear on the marketplace at a record number this final quarter of the year. In November the Mr. Magazine™ Launch Monitor was able to locate (and purchase) a total of 78 titles arriving on the nation’s stands. One magazine offered a two in one (UFC Fit and UFC 360) but was counted as one of the 21 titles published with an intended frequency. 57 other titles were published as a special, annual or a book-a-zine. October Ushers 100 New Titles on the Nation’s Stands…

After a very healthy September, October witnessed the arrival of an even 100 new magazine titles on the nation’s newsstands. One quarter (25 titles) of the new magazines were published with an intended frequency while the remaining three quarters of the October crop (75 titles) were either annual publications or specials and book-a-zines. The October numbers are only one magazine lower than that of September.

Two notable magazines were published as a result of the crowd sourcing fundraising “platform for creative projects” site “Kickstarter:” Howler and Tomorrow. Both are but two examples how technology is used to enhance the power of print. Publishing is believing and believing is the first step to creativity.

The first 25 titles are those published with a frequency and the remaining 75 are the specials, one shots and book-a-zines… enjoy the journey!

101 New Magazines (Including 37 with a Regular Frequency) Arrive to the Stands in September…

The Mr. Magazine™ Launch Monitor has been hotter than the September weather. New magazines were arriving to the marketplace faster than anyone can count. At least 101 new magazines arrived or debuted on the nation’s stands for the first time in September. The surprising number was the 37 titles that were published with the intend to appear on a regular basis.

If those magazines, ink on paper magazines, are not an evidence of the power of print in a digital age, I don’t know what constitutes an evidence.

Take a look at the new magazines below and judge for yourself. Instead of cursing the dark, light a candle, or in this case, buy a magazine or two and rediscover the power of print.

August was a hot month for new magazine launches and introductions. A total of 67 new titles (including a “hot” one called Fifty Shades of American Women) were tracked by the Mr. Magazine™ Launch Monitor for the first time during the month of August.

Here are the magazines appearing for the first time on the nation’s newsstands in August. The first 17 are those with a regular frequency and the remaining 50 are specials and book-a-zines. Enjoy

July Ushers 52 New Titles Including 14 Magazines With a Regular Frequency

The launch of new magazines in print continues at a steady pace regardless of the decline of the total number of units sold on the nation’s newsstands (more on that in a later blog on the mrmagazine.me blog site).
A total of 52 new titles arrived on the stands for the first time during the month of July, all pictured below. The first 14 had an intention to publish on a frequent basis and the rest were either book-a-zines, annuals or specials.
