December wrapped up with 8 new launches with frequency and 44 specials that set off the holiday season beautifully. From Rolling Stone’s collector’s edition dedicated to Pink Floyd to a bounty of epicurean delights, to commemorative issues celebrating the life of Nelson Mandela, the 44 special issues for December were just that – special.

It is a fact that some magazines are closing their doors on their print editions
and traveling solely down that cyber highway; however, it is another fact that there are some who have a different vision, those rogue November wolves that bay at print’s moon and defy the digital-only luminescence offered by that Internet beam.
Magazines such as World Wildlife Magazine, 8by8, Politico, First Coast, Rhapsody, and Train that sees the potential in that beautiful and tactile creature known as ink on paper, but also realizes the importance of integration.
So to those brave lone “Lobos” out there who dare create new November print tracks in Digital’s Desert, we salute you and to all our other new launches:keep on keeping on!
