As the summer is winding down and most people are preparing for a return to school, football and fall (at least here in our little town of Oxford, Mississippi anyway), it’s time to see what the newsstands were up to during the torridly hot months of June and July. There was a total of 17 new titles for the two months together, and I must say, they were and are a sight to behold.
From the world of Stampington & Company, came In Her Studio, a title that seeks to inspire readers with the spaces and stories of creative women, at least according to its tagline. A magazine that offers advice and encouragement to crafters, it’s a lovely addition to the brand’s already successful portfolio.
And children’s magazines abounded. From Paw Patrol to Disney Tangled The Series, summertime was an excellent opportunity for kids to do a bit of summer reading and stretch their imaginations.
All in all, June & July gave us some beautiful magazines and some great information and entertainment. So, please enjoy our amazing summer covers and we’ll see you soon for an Astounding August!
Until then…see you at the newsstands…
******And please remember, if Mr. Magazine™ can’t physically hold, touch and purchase the magazine, it does not enter the monthly counts. And counts now include only the titles with a regular frequency that are either new, first-seen on Mr. Magazine’s™ newsstands, or arriving to the national newsstands for the first time.
