It was an absolutely fantastic month for new magazines, and while many out there might think that is a bit of an overstatement, since we only had 15 new titles, Mr. Magazine™ says to that, take a look at the quality of the content. After all, quality, collectability and the experience is what print is all about in today’s world. And that is fantastic! Check out a few Mr. Magazine™ is highlighting here:
Jugular is quite possibly one of the most intriguing magazines Mr. Magazine™ has seen in a long, long time. JUGULAR: AN ANTIDOTE TO BOREDOM as the connection between heart and mind, and the fundamental elements of life itself. Jugular’s Letter From the Editors is a wonderful experience in and of itself, where the two founders and co-editors-in-chief, Maurizio Marchiori and Max Zambelli, begin the story where it ends, with the magazine’s death date, which is already written as five years from now. I’ll leave the rest of the story for you to discover as this is what magazines should be today – a storytelling and design experience.
And following that same stream of consciousness when it comes to the magazine experience, along comes a new title that just begs to be picked up from newsstands and of course, Mr. Magazine™ did not let one of his new friends down. Strung magazine has the tagline “life at the treeline” and this new outdoor magazine is is dedicated to living a mindful sporting lifestyle in the 21st century. With striking imagery and great storytelling, this is again the epitome of what print magazines should be in today’s digital world: An Experience!!
Enjoy the rest of our November covers and we’ll see you for a delightful December! Have a very, very Happy Holiday!
Until then –
See you at the newsstands…
******And please remember, if Mr. Magazine™ can’t physically hold, touch and purchase the magazine, it does not enter the monthly counts. And counts now include only the titles with a regular frequency that are either new, first-seen on Mr. Magazine’s™ radar, or arriving to the national newsstands for the first time.
